PTA

The ISL Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit organisation involving all ISL parents and staff and aims to stimulate communication and create a better understanding between the school and parents; to encourage the growth and reputation of the school; to promote its policies and provide support where appropriate. Parental involvement at ISL is highly valued and encouraged. The PTA Chair is an ex-officio member of the ISL School Board.
PTA

Regular PTA activities include a welcome BBQ, weekly cookery demonstrations in the kitchen, English language classes, a Book club, coffee mornings, theatre visits and guided walks in London.

Added to the social and welcoming roles, the PTA has a network of class and language representatives who serve as the communication link between parents of their class (or language community) and the PTA Executive Committee and ISL staff and to coordinate parents’ participation in key PTA events.
PTA
Each class and language representatives arranges regular coffee Mornings/afternoons and invites all the other parents in the class – this creates an opportunity for social talk, identifying any general issues to be raised and gathering support/volunteers for PTA activities such as the BBQ and carnival. The representatives then meet to discuss key issues of general concern and pass on the views of other parents.
