ISL follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma (IBD). These programmes are designed to fulfil the ISL vision of combining intellectual rigour and high academic standards with a strong emphasis on the ideals of international understanding and responsible citizenship.

In our Primary School we are implementing the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). The primary curriculum is challenging and student-centred. It focuses on the development of the whole child between the age of 3 and 10. In the primary years, children learn through a structured programme of inquiry, and their natural curiosity is nurtured. The curriculum provides children with a sense of identity, in time and place.
ISL - Offers the IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP)

In our Secondary School we are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The Middle Years curriculum offers a rigorous and challenging framework of academic study and life-skills appropriate for 11 to 16 year olds. It is designed to serve the particular needs of adolescents in an international framework. Emphasis is placed on developing critical and creative thinking skills, which are going to be highly valued in the future.

ISL has offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma for over 25 years. The IB Diploma is an internationally recognized, pre-university course of study that leads to external examinations. The two-year programme has earned a reputation for rigorous assessment that equips students with the skills and attitudes necessary for success in higher education and employment. ISL has a proud record of launching students into their higher education at universities around the world.

The Rights Of The Child

Environmental awareness is promoted throughout the school. Students learn about the major world environmental issues and are encouraged to be responsible citizens and caretakers of our limited natural resources. Similarly, health and social education topics are integrated across the curriculum. Students participate in community service programmes to encourage them to develop a sense of social justice, service and compassion.
